I've got a couple pairs of shutters that I've been hanging onto for a while now, waiting for the perfect application. I still don't know what I'm going to do with them but my mind-wheels are turning and inspiration is everywhere.

Lots of painted shutters, I think this one is my favorite. Take a look at Pinterest and you'll find great snowmen and flag shutter ideas as well.
Shutters as sliding doors! Gorgeous.
How about lanterns, very cute.
Add a box and you've got a great planter, depending on the size of your shutter they'd make really cute window boxes as well.
How's about a potting bench? These are really gorgeous.
A magazine rack is so clever. If you removed a few more of the slats you could use it for a towel rack.
Group them together, add some trimwork and you've got a great headboard.

Yard art. How cute is that?
Add some coasters, a shelf at the bottom and butcher block top for a great work surface in the kitchen or bar cart.
Could make a fabulous end table.
Nice way to display photos and could make an excellent command center for your home.
If building a shelving unit is a little much for you how about adding a couple shelves. Great way to display a small collection. Turn your shutter the other direction, add a shelf at the top and hooks at the bottom for a great coat rack.
I used a few smaller shutters to make a turn-table for jewelry display.
