How to Decorate Your Home with Paper on the Cheap

I recently saw an episode of "Flea Market Flip" where a dresser was transformed using old love letters.  It turned out beautifully and got me to thinking, outside the box, how about a kitchen accent wall or backsplash wallpapered with recipes?

I purchased a couple boxes of recipes at an estate sale and am waiting for the perfect project to use them on.

What about greeting cards?  That same estate sale had bags and bags of greeting cards, I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing them as well.  I have seen people take greeting cards and make decorative boxes out of them, chandeliers and very cool jewelry.....

From what I can tell these circles are mirrors?  but you could apply this to paper and make a beautiful
wall separator or hanging artwork with old cards.  Mothers day cards would make a great piece of memorable art

Maps, sheet music, book pages or wrapping paper make great wallpaper for accent walls or furniture accents.  Even family photos can become a medium to change a drab piece of furniture into something fabulous.

  1. What a great idea, Margot! You've got my wheels turning. Maybe I could use pages from old books for a wall in my office or the back of a bookcase ... yes, I think so . ;) Thanks for sharing!
